Congratulations to our Bike Winners. Wyatt Clay and Taraji Jones both had Perfect Attendance all during the 1st Semester of school. They each won a bike donated from The Women of the Moose Lodge from Copperas Cove. Students at Mae Stevens Early Learning Academy had their 3rd 6 weeks Awards. Students were awarded in Perfect Attendance, All Day Every Day, Tardy Free, Academic Excellence, Most Improved, Citizen of the 6 Weeks, PE Award, Fine Arts Award, I Know My ABC's Award, and I Can Count to 30 Award. Congratulations to all our recipients.

Tuesday evening, the CCISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the hiring of Dr. Brent Hawkins as the district's next Superintendent of Schools.

The CCISD Emergent Bilingual Program is proud to host its annual Multicultural Festival this Thursday in the Clements/Parsons Elementary cafeteria! We hope you'll join us in the festivities.



This Friday, CCISD students have the chance to wear pajama pants to school while supporting a good cause!

January is School Board Recognition Month, and we'd like to thank our wonderful trustees for all of the hours they spend serving the students and staff in CCISD. Thank you!

Happy New Year from Copperas Cove ISD!


Students from the CCJHS National Junior Honor Society recently visited Mae Stevens Early Learning Academy to participate in Literacy Day with Cove's Pre-K students. They read to classes, took part in literacy stations and participated in library activities.

CCISD held Computer Science Week Dec. 9th-13th as part of Code.org's Hour of Code, showing students that anybody could learn coding. Students learned coding basics and completed daily activities, like graphic design.

Our retiring superintendent Dr. Joe Burns was honored in a surprise at last week's Military Affairs Dinner for his years of work in our community, including with Fort Cavazos and military-connected students in Cove.
