Today's theme for Attendance Awareness was "Wear Neon." The message conveyed is that good attendance fosters a bright future. Here are some of our students showcasing their neon attire. Tomorrow, we will continue our Attendance Awareness campaign with the theme "Be a Team Player by Showing Up to School Every Day." We encourage everyone to wear their favorite team jersey.
Today in Mrs. Hunter’s class, students began with a brain break, engaging in an exercise on the carpet. The variety of movements helped keep them energized and prepared for further learning. Following this, they focused on understanding the different components of a letter, including straight lines and curves. This activity is part of the fundations curriculum designed to teach the letters of the alphabet.

Today, we celebrate Attendance Matters Dress-Up Day with the theme “Don’t Let Absences Sneak Up on You!” Students are encouraged to wear camouflage or black attire. Let us maintain our Attendance Awareness as we look forward to tomorrow's theme, “Good Attendance Leads to a BRIGHT Future,” where neon colors will be the attire of choice. Below are some students and staff members showcasing their camo or black outfits.
Students in Mrs. Papson’s class are enjoying their lunchtime. Whether they brought lunch from home or received a tray from the cafeteria, they all gather at their assigned table. During this time, the students are practicing opening various items, such as their milk cartons, bags containing utensils and napkins, lunch box, and Lunchables.
Student's in Mrs. Wilkerson's class have been delighting in the process of learning their classmates' names through the engaging "Busy, Busy, Bumblebee" name game. Each student takes turns holding the fuzzy bee while patting their legs and singing "Busy, Busy Bumblebee, won't you say your name for me?" This interactive activity fosters a sense of community and encourages participation.
Students in Mrs. Reynold's class are engaging in center-based learning activities. Each center features a variety of tasks, including mathematics, writing, and foundational literacy skills. This approach not only facilitates academic learning but also encourages socialization and sharing among peers. Throughout the day, students rotate through each center, diligently working and expanding their knowledge.
The school year has commenced successfully, with students adapting well to their learning routines. A wonderful way to begin each classroom day is with the Pledge of Allegiance to the American and Texas flags. Here is a glimpse of Mrs. Straley’s class participating today.

Their unwavering dedication to maintaining the cleanliness of our campus, even during the summer months, is commendable.
