Mae Stevens Early Learning Academy

Mrs. Janidlo’s and Ms. Jones’ class experienced some sensory fun making gingerbread playdoh creations! Not only did the classroom smell delightful, but student's also used their imaginations to co-create their own takes on holiday treats. They practiced sharing materials and giving peer feedback in meaningful ways.

Students in Mrs. Anderson's, Mrs. Helbing's, and Ms. Reyes' class take pleasure in matching shapes and colors for their Christmas tree during center activities!

Students in Mrs. Hunter’s read the book “How to Catch a Reindeer”. Students were then challenged to use the materials provided to create a home for their reindeer this Christmas. They were each given a plastic reindeer, popsicle sticks, and pom-poms. They built a structure to place their reindeer in. Students took their reindeers home and encouraged to find items at their house to build a different type of home for their reindeer.

Congratulations to these students in Mrs. Wilkerson’s class who received the Positive Office Referral. These individuals exhibited exemplary behavior, made commendable choices, and demonstrated outstanding leadership and kindness.

Here are the photos from our Family Literacy Night, which took place this past Tuesday. Our students had a wonderful time visiting with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus and other areas in the campus, creating lasting memories throughout the evening.

Kathleen McDonald, a former grandparent of our school community at Mae Stevens ELA, generously donated six Bluey backpacks, each filled with a variety of Bluey-themed items, to six of our students. Teachers were invited to nominate a deserving student from their class, and from those nominations, six names were drawn at random.

Mrs. Anderson's and Mrs. Helbing's class received a delightful holiday surprise from Mrs. Richardson in the form of Positive Office referrals. Their diligent efforts to follow instructions have certainly paid off!
