Copperas Cove ISD is now enrolling for its free full-day Pre-K program for the 2025–2026 school year. To help families begin the enrollment process, the district will host a Pre-K Round-Up on Tuesday, May 13 at 5:00 PM in the cafeteria of Mae Stevens Early Learning Acadmey. The event is designed to provide information, answer questions, and assist parents with completing the necessary steps for registration.
The CCISD Pre-K program offers children a valuable head start in their educational journey through hands-on, play-based learning, certified teachers, and a strong focus on social and emotional development. The full-day program is provided at no cost for families who meet one of the eligibility requirements.
To qualify for free Pre-K, children must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2025, and meet at least one of the following criteria:
Meet income eligibility requirements
Limited English proficiency (language testing required)
Have a parent or guardian who is Active Duty Military
Have a parent or guardian who is a CCISD employee
Be currently or previously placed in foster care
Be the child of a parent who is a Star of Texas Award recipient
