Pre-K 4 Registration Information

2026-2027 Registration

Applications are now being accepted for transfers into Copperas Cove ISD and Mae Stevens Early Learning Academy. Apply to transfer now, while space remains available!

Registration for the 2026–2027 school year has not yet opened. Please do not complete any registration forms for next year at this time, as submissions cannot be approved or transferred to the 2026–2027 school year. Information regarding registration dates and procedures will be shared once registration becomes available.

Qualification Requirements

To qualify for Pre-K in Copperas Cove ISD, the student must be either 3 or 4 years old on or before September 1st of the school year for which you are enrolling and meet one of the following requirements:

  • Low Income
  • Language (testing required)
  • Active Duty Military
  • Full-time CCISD Employee
  • Foster Care
  • Star of Texas Award Qualifier

Documentation Needed

All Qualifiers:

  • Birth Certificate. (Student must be 4 years old as of Sept 1 of the school year for which you are enrolling.)
  • Proof of Address
  • Photo ID
  • Immunization Record
  • Social Security Card

In addition you will need the following:

Income Qualifiers:

(One of the Following)

  • Current paycheck stub
  • Current tax return if self-employed
  • Current TANF or SNAP eligibility letter

Language Qualifiers

  • Fill out Home Language Survey (Provided by School)
  • Language test will be administered to the child

Active Duty Military Qualifiers

(One of the Following)

  • Verification of U.S. Department of Defense photo I.D.
  • Statement of service
  • Copy of death certificate
  • Copy of Purple Heart orders
  • Copy of official letter from commander
  • Copy of a letter from US Dept. of Veteran's Affairs
  • Documentation that service member is MIA

Foster Care Qualifiers:

  • Verification Letter of Prekindergarten Eligibility from DFPS

Star of Texas Award Qualifiers:

  • Copy of the resolution (certificate) awarded to parent of child.

CCISD Employees

  • Copy of Contract or Letter of Reasonable Assurance (Available in Skyward)
